German Kar 98k Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #6014f, 8x57mm cal., 23.6'' barrel, blued finish, laminated stock, inverted ''V'' front sight with adjustable tangent rear sight. Marked on left side receiver rail ''Mod 98'', and on receiver ring ''bnz/4''indicating mfg. by Steyr-Daimler-Puch . Mismatched numbers stamped on left side of buttstock and on bolt. Rifle is missing handguard, upper band retaining spring, front sight hood, and cleaning rod. Upper band is a replacement and does not fit properly. Condition overall is very good with approx. 50% finish remaining on metal surfaces with the balance turning bright. Stock has a crack at the tang, otherwise very good with even color and showing a few light handling marks. Action is smooth, bore shows some roughness with good rifling.
